About PRME Press
Project Memoir began as a way for founder and editor Milla Jans to document her family’s history and personal stories of loved ones. This led to the self-publication of her grandparents’ memoir into a book as a family keepsake. When Milla later went through the process of publishing her own poetry book for wider distribution to the public, she realized how overwhelming it could be for new writers, especially teens. After researching many independent presses, she discovered that few offered support for teen authors.
To fill that gap, PRME Press was created as the publishing arm of Project Memoir to help teen authors publish their first works. PRME Press guides teen writers through every step of the independent publishing process, from early ideas to finished books.
If you are a teen author with a completed manuscript or soon-to-be completed manuscript, a parent of a teen author, or a teacher hoping to help your teen students publish their creative work, we would love to hear from you. Reach out to schedule a 15 minute phone call to talk about your project. We’re happy to offer free advice on publishing options and discuss ways we can work together to bring your stories to life.
